Rental Terms & Conditions

Clear rental rules help every trip begin smoothly. Please review these conditions before submitting a reservation.

Reservations & Payments

Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of a deposit.
A refundable security deposit of $350 is required and returned after inspection if there is no damage or outstanding charge.
All bookings are subject to availability, and confirmed dates are binding.
The minimum rental period is 3 days.
Full payment must be completed before or at vehicle handover.
No refunds are given for late pickup or early return.
An additional $35 cleaning fee may apply if the vehicle is returned excessively dirty.
Payment can be made in cash or by credit or debit card.

Drivers must be a minimum of 23 years old.
Drivers must hold a valid driver’s license.
Only drivers listed in the rental agreement may drive the vehicle, with a maximum of 2 authorized drivers.

Vehicles use regular gasoline, identified by the yellow handle at the gas station.
Incorrect fuel usage will result in the full repair cost being charged to the renter.
The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as received.

Damage caused while under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be fully charged to the renter.
For theft or damage, notify Vertex Car Rental immediately.
For an accident, call Curaçao Road Service at 199 and contact Vertex Car Rental immediately.
For a breakdown, contact Vertex immediately and do not move the vehicle without authorization.
Unauthorized repairs are not permitted.

Fuel, parking fees, traffic fines, and other daily expenses are the renter’s responsibility.
The vehicle must be securely locked when unattended.
Valuables left in the vehicle are at the renter’s own risk.
The renter is responsible for damage or theft during the rental period and must return the vehicle in the condition received.
